Description
Description
Far easier to grow than other celery varieties, this leafy green is grown for both it’s leaves and stalks which are thinner than those of most celery varieties but have the same texture and taste. Technically a biennial plant, regular harvesting can delay flowering, giving you fresh celery for many months.
Care
Plant in at least part shade to 3 / 4 shade an mulch well around the base of the plant to keep soil cool and moisture consistent. This will prolong harvests and avoid bolting. This plant has a vigorous root system and requires less water and fertilizer than other celery varieties but will require regular watering until established and then at least intermittent deep watering.
